Victor George Gusterson
He was born on Wednesday 24th August 1892, the son of Thomas
Gusterson and Jessie Bouttell. He had a
younger brother, Percy. In 1901 he lived at The
Foul, Blackheath. He was a farm labourer. He had light brown hair and blue eyes and was 5' 5" tall. He joined the Navy on Tuesday 2nd June 1908, serving as a boy. He became an Ordinary Seaman on his 18th birthday. He served on a number of ships including Hyacinth,

Indies, Bombay. He was promoted to Able seaman on 12th June 1913. He was awarded the victory medal and the war medal for WW1. His Daughter, Barbara, was born in 1918. He was living at Spring Terrace, Sotterhurst, Dr
Axey, Tolleshunt D'Arcy in 1921.
