Notices for the month of December
Our December services will include guest speakers, we will share Communion on 7th December.
Children's Christmas Craft Activities: Saturday 6th December 2-4.30pm
Carol Singing at the Silver Oyster: Sunday 7th December, everyone is welcome to join St Margaret's Church for carol singing in the pub, meet at St Margaret's at 2.45pm.
Deacon's Meeting: Please be in prayer for the Deacon's Meeting on Tuesday 9th December at 10am.
Prayer Meeting: Wednesday 10th December at 7.30pm.
Hymns We Love: Saturday 13th December at 2pm, an exploration of the carol 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing'.
Nativity From Scratch: Sunday 14th December at 10.30am.
Carol Service: Sunday 21st December at 4pm. Donations of mince pies and festive treats will be gratefully received. Please note there will be no morning service.
Christmas Day: Sunday 25th December at 10am
Christmas Praise: Sunday 28th December at 10.30am, will be a service dedicated to requests for favourite/special meaning carols, songs, hymns, poems or scripture. Please let Linda have any requests you wish to include before 21st December so that she can prepare the service.
Welcome Team: We need one or two more people on the Welcome Team. This would entail greeting people at the door from 10.10am, every three to four weeks. See Jan for more details.
Kitchen: All groups that use the kitchen, please make sure that everything is put back as you found it and that the work tops are cleared.
Knitted Bible Exhibition: Churches Together in Tollesbury are displaying the exhibition in Tollesbury Congregational Church from Sun 28th Dec to Wed 31st Dec from 10am until 4pm. There are over 30 exhibits telling stories from the Bible from Creation to the Road to Emmaus. All exhibits have been knitted by members of St Georges URC, Hartlepool.
If you are interested in going, then speak to Hilary so we can arrange to share cars.
Carpet Cleaning: the Sanctuary, entrance hall and middle room carpets will be cleaned on Friday 2nd January. If you need to enter the church at this time please be aware that these carpets may be wet.
Cake & Cuppa: due to the carpet cleaning, there will be no Cake & Cuppa on 2nd January.
Refreshments: Starting in the New Year we are going to trial serving the after service refreshments from the hatch in the middle room, towards the front of the building. This will be for three months starting on January 4th and will be reviewed at the Church meeting in March '26.
Birthdays in December: Sarra's birthday is on 14th December and Tolu's is on 30th, wishing you every blessing in the year ahead.
