Alfred Worth

He was born in West Bergholt in 1898. His parents died when he was young, and he was brought up by other family in Dunmow. 1n the 1910s he moved to 29 South Street, Colchester to live with his wife to be's parents. He married  Emily Kate  Philbrook in 1922. They continued to live at 29 South Street until at least 1931. He was superintendent of the church from 1951 until he died aged only 56 in 1955. His wife lived until 1979.
