Worship and prayer
Our Worship Co-ordinator, Berkeley Young, oversees the way we worship as a community, helping us to worship God in the best way possible. We try to incorporate a wide variety of styles, from age-old hymns to the most up-to-date songs from the likes of Spring Harvest and Songs of Fellowship, and even some original songs written by members of our congregation! There is also a mix of up-beat praise, reflective spaces, even opportunities for dance.
Prayer, too, features highly in the life of our church, both in services and the rest of the week. We have a dedicated prayer team who meet regularly to pray for specific needs within the church and for issues in the wider community. There is also a Healing Team, which focuses on praying for healing. Prayer also features in our Home Groups, and resources are available to help you pray on your own too.
Worship does not just mean singing songs on Sundays. Prayer does not just mean reciting the same words week after week because they sound holy. We believe that worship and prayer are to do with our lifestyle, and that they should be natural expressions of our love for God rather than forced habits.
